I have the same thing happen hereЧnothing helps! Time is of the essence. Deleting my entire history, cookies, everything did nothing either. I thought that it did not work at first but when I left the search and came back to it later the autofill suggestions were gone. The backspace key is the same as the delete key on the Mac, though how it is labeled may be a matter of which country the Mac was purchased in.
